Blocks and Rocks Nature Play Program
Come to the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden to discover and play!
Discover-and-play sessions will be held for children aged 3-7 in the kid-friendly classroom of the Garden’s Bayer Welcome Center. Children will have access to bins of colorful LEGO® DUPLO® blocks, as well as natural materials such as rocks, sticks, pinecones, etc. Together, these materials encourage nature-based play, development of fine motor skills and social interaction. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to join in the fun. Once the creation is complete, explore everything the Garden has to offer with a fun outdoor game of “I-spy.”
Blocks and Rocks takes place in our indoor classroom space to provide creative nature play regardless of the weather. Add the following sessions to your planner to get in on the fun at Pittsburgh Botanic Garden.
