Come explore Pittsburgh Botanic Garden on National Public Gardens Day! This year, we will showcase our Margaret Lawrence Simon Dogwood Meadow, with its natural stand of Cornus florida (Flowering Dogwood), and beautiful native wildflowers. Participate in hands-on activities between 10 am – 2 pm to learn about the dogwood and why it is an important part of the Pennsylvania landscape and ecosystem. No registration is required. Join us for a day in the dogwoods!
We will also be celebrating Pittsburgh Garden Trail Day! William Peduto, Mayor of the City of Pittsburgh, proclaimed May 11, 2018, to celebrate Pittsburgh Garden Trail. This organization is a collection of regional gardens that are collaborating to promote peaceful and beautiful settings, engage visitors and educate gardeners.
