Seedlings Program
Wednesday, January 9
10 – 11 a.m.
Join us in our historic log house and play the games pioneer children enjoyed during the long winter months. This program is great for children ages 3 to 6. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
This program is free to members and regular admission for Nonmembers.

Winter Yoga Series
January 12, 19, 26 and February 2
10 – 11 a.m.
Certified instructors from Yoga H’om are teaching a four-session yoga class, held indoors in our beautiful event space. Adults of all experience levels are welcome.
Bring a yoga mat and check in at the Bayer Welcome Center at least 10 minutes before each class. Pre-registration is required.
This series is $30 for Members and $45 for Nonmembers. Classes are offered as a series and the price includes all four sessions.

Pioneer Games and Stories

During the long winters, Pioneer families passed the time with games and stories. Join our Education Staff in our historic log house to play games and hear stories from a bygone era.

Sustainable Landscape Design
Saturdays, January 26, February 2, February 9
1 – 4 p.m.
This 3-part series, led by Claire Schuchman, owner of Exceptional Gardens, provides a comprehensive overview of the process of creating a sustainable landscape design using the principles of organic gardening. She will discuss concepts such as “right plant/right place,” how to shade out weeds with ground covers, the use of hardy natives and tips for installing rain gardens and rain barrels.
Whether you are new to the world of gardening or a seasoned pro, this series will arm you with enough knowledge to make good decisions about how best to move forward with your own individual project.
This program is $40 for Members and $50 for Nonmembers. Price includes all three sessions.

Join us for a winter walk through our Garden led by Doug Oster, Editor of Everybody Gardens, and Keith S. Kaiser, Pittsburgh Botanic Garden Executive Director. Lunch and admission to the Garden are included with registration.
