Town and Country Tour
Join us for our 20th Annual Town and Country Tour on Sunday June 25th, 2017. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has described this not-to-be-missed event as the Premier garden tour in Western Pennsylvania.

One garden was begun almost sixty years ago and now includes extended terraces, a greenhouse, pool, water gardens, wildflower gardens and areas for sun-loving plants. Another garden is a small dense landscape that includes over 30 Japanese maples, 70 miniature and dwarf conifers, 30 varieties of hostas and coral bells, and 20 hydrangeas. Still another is the conversion of a city lot into a visual tribute to the owner’s memories of a childhood in the country. A half ton of boulders define the area and carve out dining and seating areas. A pool, open spaces, wonderful specimens and designated planting areas complete this sanctuary so close to the city. And you’ll see eleven more outstanding gardens…
Easy Directions and Parking for Self-guided Tours
A Tour Book and Ticket will be mailed to you before mid-June, complete with garden descriptions and directions to each of the fourteen gardens on the Town & Country Tour.
Or Join Us on the Bus Tour
We offer 24-passenger Bus Tours that reach the first garden by 9 a.m. Knowledgeable Tour Guides will be aboard each bus, sharing details about each garden, identifying plants and responding to your questions. A wonderful lunch is included at historic Edgewood Country Club. It’s a perfect day to spend with family and friends.

Choice of Entrees includes:
- Dual Entrée Plate
Chicken Romano, Sautéed in a light Herbed Egg Batter Sauce and finished with a Lemon Butter Sauce AND Edgewood Crab Cake, Blue Crab Meat mixed with Old Bay and Egg Mixture, baked to a golden brown, served with Dijon Crème alongside Herb Roasted Red Skin Potatoes and Balsamic Roasted Ratatouille.
- Eggplant Roulade
Thinly sliced Eggplant stuffed with Ricotta Cheese and baked with Marinara and Italian Cheeses until just browned, served with Haricot Verts.
Each luncheon entrée also includes a Baby Spinach & Arugula Salad with Roasted Red Peppers, Kalamata Olives and Asiago Cheese, served with choice of warm Pancetta Vinaigrette, Ranch or Balsamic Dressings, fresh rolls and butter and dessert: a generous slice of Triple Mousse Cake with layers of Dark and White Chocolate Mousse between three layers of Marbled Dark Chocolate and White Cake topped with Chocolate Ganache swirled with White Chocolate.
