Join Doug Oster from Gardening with Doug, and Dr. Mark Miller, Education & Exhibits Director, for an insightful guided walk through the gardens and woods of Pittsburgh Botanic Garden. This Botany Walk & Talk will focus on plants that show interest and thrive in the “dog days of summer.”
The tour will be followed by a delicious lunch featuring seasonal produce, made by Slade Mankins, the Garden’s celebrated chef. During lunch, Doug and Mark will highlight seasonal tips, like preparing for planting a fall crop of fruits/vegetables. Doug will wax lyrical about his favorite seasonal plants and produce – and will have some produce from plants you may not know well.
