Release your inner artist and create nature-inspired art from natural and reclaimed materials! Young artists will utilize recycled materials, repurposed items bound for the landfill, and found items in nature (stones, wood, etc.) to create unique a unique piece of art. The outdoor sculpture exhibits at the Garden will serve as inspiration, including Perennially Green by Michelle Stitzlein, on display in the Welcome Center. Explore the many gardens and woodlands of Pittsburgh Botanic Garden to visualize what the campers’ collective artwork will be. The piece created at the end of the week will be displayed at the Garden through the end of October.

About the Instructors
Sarah Levinthal is a Pennsylvania Master Naturalist with an education background. She has been leading camps, field trips and preschool programs at the Garden for over a year. Outside of teaching, she loves hiking and spending time with her three children.
Gina Walter is the Garden’s Education & Volunteer Coordinator and has a background in landscape architecture and horticultural therapy. Gina loves showing children the wonders of nature. In her free time, Gina enjoys caring for her indoor plants and exploring outside with her dog.
Camp Details
This is a 4-day, drop-off day camp. Please dress appropriately for the weather, participants will be outside exploring and making art most of the time. Each participant will need to bring their own lunch each day.

If you are unable to attend, kindly give 48 hours notice to receive a refund, by calling the Garden at 412-444-4464. No refunds will be issued after that point.
