Join Caroline Garrett Hardy, the current exhibiting artist in Pittsburgh Botanic Garden’s Welcome Center, to learn the art of butterfly crafting! This creative workshop will explore the art of making butterflies from a variety of papers. First, make the wings with a unique insect body in the middle holding the wings together. Decorate the wings to your liking using stamps, markers, paint, crayons and glitter. If you have favorite stickers, bring them along! Butterflies come in all shapes, sizes, and colors, so be ready to experiment. Participants will also be invited to try their hand at making an origami butterfly. All materials will be provided, and you will take home your beautiful creation.
