Kids Pumpkin Painting with Monica

Get in on the fall fun with pumpkins, seeds and gourds! Join Monica from Ikaros Art in an exciting exploration of everything Cucurbit (pumpkins, squash & gourds)! Painting activities include learning basic color theory & mixing and using simple techniques to create your one-of-a-kind decorated pumpkin. Kids will also discover how a seed becomes a plant (pumpkin), parts of a pumpkin, how to plant your seed for success, and interactive fun with different hands-on experiments and games.

Ikaros Art will provide all materials including smocks, brushes, paints, pumpkins, gourds, as well as sensory bins and planting materials (pumpkin seeds, planter cups, soil). All you need to bring are creative kids dressed in clothes to get messy in.

This is a drop-off class, and adults do not need to accompany children during the program. Registration includes your child’s admission to the Garden. Each child will go home with their unique painted pumpkin and planted pumpkin seed to watch grow.

This program is suitable for ages 7-10 years old
