Member-Only Artist Talk with Rosalie Haizlett

Join author and illustrator Rosalie Haizlett to learn about the trip that inspired her exhibition Tiny Worlds of the Appalachian Mountains. In April 2022, Rosalie set out on a 6-month continuous road trip throughout the entire Appalachian range, from Alabama to Newfoundland. Along the way, she took notes and made observations that informed the body of work featured in her second book, Tiny Worlds of the Appalachian Mountains: An Artist’s Journey (2024), and the artwork featured in this exhibition. Rosalie will share stories from this trip and provide insights into her process for turning these discoveries in the field into vibrant illustrated works of art.
