Has your lovely spring container faded with the season? Refresh your space by creating a vibrant summer planter filled with aromatic herbs—such as nasturtium, rosemary, and lavender—paired with complementary flowering annuals. In this hands-on class, we’ll cover container selection, soil composition, plant care, and demonstrate how to artfully arrange your planter using the classic “thriller, spiller, and filler” design approach. Join Pittsburgh Botanic Garden instructors Moira Aulbach and JoAnna Thomas for this creative seasonal series and design a personalized planter you can enjoy all summer long!
Participants may attend one or all of the Outdoor Planter classes offered in Summer, Fall, and Winter. Feel free to bring decorative elements from home to incorporate into your design—all plants, container, and additional materials will be provided.
