Learn how to make homemade pasta with Huck Beard and the Traveling Sfoglino Show – then eat it as part of a delicious Italian dinner! In this basic, one-night course, you’ll learn how to mix egg and flour to make sfoglino (pasta sheets – think ravioli and lasagna), then cut the pasta into fettuccine or spaghetti with authentic, Italian-made Marcato pasta machines. After class, we’ll enjoy a big pasta meal together with Italian music and wine. Molto bene! All recipes are included. Bring an apron and an appetite!

Speaker

  • Huck Beard
Creative Director & Handmade Pasta Instructor

Huck Beard is the longtime Creative Director at Pittsburgh Magazine, but in his spare time he teaches handmade pasta classes at LaRoche University and at private events. He emphasizes best ingredients + best practices so you can make pasta to be proud of. He and his husband, John, live in North Hills with their ridiculous Portuguese Water Dog, Humphrey.
