Event Details

Connecting with nature is essential to child development, sparking creativity and imagination – and summer is a sizzlingly fun time for discovery in nature. Join Sarah Levinthal, Youth Educator, to talk about nature during the showy season and then head outdoors in search of adventure. Discover the bugs and critters that call the Garden home this time of year! Each visit will include a hands-on activity, time in the Garden’s different habitats, a story reading and time for free play outdoors.

About the Instructor

Sarah Levinthal
is a Pennsylvania Master Naturalist with an education background. She has been leading camps, field trips and preschool programs at the Garden for over a year. Outside of teaching, she loves hiking and spending time with her three children.

Program suitable for children ages 3-6, each child (including siblings) must be registered and one adult caregiver must be present per 3 children. Please sign in to receive member discount.

If you are unable to attend, kindly give 48 hours notice to receive a refund, by calling the Garden at 412-444-4464. No refunds will be issued after that point. The Garden reserves the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment, or in the event of severe weather.
