Event Details

Calling all Scouts! Be a forester for a day, learn all about native trees and celebrate Arbor Day with the Garden. Stop at a stand of native Flowering Dogwoods (Cornus florida) and examine their unique blooms. This program is suitable for Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts accompanied by their leader as part of their electives. Pre-registration is required.

Ages 5 and up  |  April 30, 9:30am – 10:45am
Ages 8 and up  |  April 30, 11:115am – 12:30pm


Program will start in the Peirce Education Room, but will be primarily outdoors. Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. An adult must accompany every 5 children if coming as a group. All additional adults and non-participating children pay general admission upon arrival.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend, kindly give 48 hours notice to receive a refund, by calling the Garden at 412-444-4464. No refunds will be issued after that point. The Garden reserves the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment, or in the event of severe weather.
