Nestled just a short drive from Downtown Pittsburgh, the Garden beckons with lush landscapes, captivating scenery and enchanting blooms of the Allegheny Plateau. Pittsburgh Botanic Garden is your ultimate destination to connect, explore and feel rejuvenated by nature.

Pittsburgh Botanic Garden inspires people to value plants, garden design and the natural world by cultivating plant collections of the Allegheny Plateau and temperate regions, creating display gardens, conducting educational programs and conserving the environment.

I’m a wedding and engagement photographer and I’ve photographed several events and portrait sessions in the gardens. The space is absolutely stunning ….”

“Pittsburgh Botanic Garden is absolutely beautiful. Just gorgeous. This place is fun for the entire family. There is a café, sitting room and gift shop. Fabulous art installations throughout, some interactive for children. The gardens are dog friendly. There are benches to relax everywhere. Lots of hidden sites that wind back to main paths…”

“The gardens are beautiful. The trails are well-maintained and a fairly easy walk. We managed to get to a little over 3 miles for a nice, relaxed workout. Lots of great little things to explore for the kids (and grown-ups, too). Lots of green space to roam and run. Dogs are welcome, on leash….”
