Venues
Davidson Events Center
This recently renovated 1870’s barn with a modern, rustic charm is the perfect place to host your event! Davidson Events Center includes Peirce Celebration Garden, with a stone wall and abundant romantic plantings, a wall of windows overlooking the woodlands, and rustic chandeliers for a romantic ambience. A large adjoining plaza adds ample room for seating, mingling and dancing.
Welcome Center
Bob & Joan Peirce Event Room is the perfect space to celebrate! The Event Room features floor-to-ceiling windows and doors leading to the Peirce Courtyard Garden with beautiful stonework and pops of seasonal floral blooms.
Serene Ceremonies
Make your ceremony or event unique and celebrate nestled in the peaceful settings of the woodland gardens, Lotus Pond, or Margaret Lawrence Simon Dogwood Meadow. Both spaces are a short walk from the Welcome Center and feature beautiful, seasonal blooms. The dogwood meadow also includes a large wooden gazebo.
Bring Your Vision to Life
Pittsburgh Botanic Garden will help you tailor your experience to make your vision a reality while working within your budget. Garden staff will help arrange select on-site services such as table/chair rentals and alcohol contracts, if applicable. Work with approved vendors to coordinate other details like catering, tents, linens, etc.
Reserve Your Date in Advance
To ensure your desired date is available, we recommend booking as early as possible. Dates fill quickly, especially during peak months and prime weekends, and the Garden accepts reservations years in advance. Pittsburgh Botanic Garden requires a deposit to reserve future dates.
Private Event Rentals
Pittsburgh Botanic Garden offers a unique setting for virtually any event you can imagine! Choose from the Davidson Events Center, the Garden’s beautiful renovated barn from the 1870’s, and the Welcome Center which offers various spaces with a mid-century modern feel with woodland views. Corporate Rentals
Located just 10 miles from Downtown Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh International Airport, the Garden is a unique and versatile space for your next corporate meeting, holiday party, or retreat. Take a break from the office and spend time in this relaxing garden atmosphere.

- Stone fireplace for evening events; firewood and maintenance included.
- Provide your own alcohol for evening events.
- Day-of Venue Manager and on-site security for evening events, if serving alcohol.
- A 20% discount is available for 501(c)3 organizations.
Audio/video and presentation equipment is available for additional cost. Evening events may add on the use of outdoor fireplace.

Photography Policy
Pittsburgh Botanic Garden is the perfect backdrop for photo sessions of all kinds – senior photos, engagements, family memories, wedding photos and more! If you are planning a private or commercial photo session and/or plan to use a professional photographer, this session will be considered a formal photo session. Please contact jthomas@pittsburghbotanicgarden.org or call (412)444-4464 to schedule formal photo sessions.
Formal Photo Session Fee: $100
Includes up to 8 individuals, including photographer(s), for up to 2 hours of photography time. Additional guests will incur a $8/person fee.
Personal Use Photography
During your visit, you are encouraged to take photos of your experience at the Garden and the interesting sights you see, for personal use only. If you post your images on social media, tag the Garden so we can see and share your photos!
General Photography Guidelines
- Absolutely no glitter, birdseed, sparklers, balloons, or other items that may be harmful to the Garden or environment may be used. Please confirm any props with the Events Department prior to the session.
- Only dogs (on leash at all times) and registered service animals are permitted in the Garden.
- Smoking, vaping, and alcoholic beverages of all kinds are not permitted on Garden property.
- Drones are prohibited in all instances, unless approved in advance by the Events Department with proper insurance.
- Please do not disturb other visitors or event attendees.
- Public garden areas will not be closed to visitors during photo sessions.
