Event Details

Join Doug Oster from Gardening with Doug, and Dr. Mark Miller, Education & Exhibits Director, for a debate about their favorite plants to grow. Each gardener will debate the advantages and disadvantages of the chosen plants and defend their stance. Will Doug’s love of dandelions survive Mark’s disdain for them?

A walk will follow through the gardens and woodlands of Pittsburgh Botanic Garden in search of some of the favorites highlighted earlier. Fun, cool plant seedlings will be given to the best students.
