By creating spaces to engage visitors with nature, Pittsburgh Botanic Garden is removing barriers between people and the environment. Transforming 460 acres of former mining land into a beautiful community asset, the Garden breathes new life into land once condemned. The Garden also maintains a commitment to enhancing year-round learning opportunities for regional schools by providing educational opportunities and scholarships for underserved youth programs.
Annual Fund Donations
Contributions to the Garden’s Annual Fund provide unrestricted funding for all Garden operations and programs. From beautiful horticultural displays to nature-based education classes, your tax-deductible gift supports the Garden’s mission of connecting people to plants.
Pittsburgh Botanic Garden’s 65-acre property is a valuable community asset with abundant opportunities to engage with plants and animals of the Allegheny Plateau ecoregion. Your donation allows the Garden to continue in pursuit of our mission:
Pittsburgh Botanic Garden inspires people to value plants, garden design and the natural world by cultivating plant collections of the Allegheny Plateau and temperate regions, creating display gardens, conducting educational programs and conserving the environment.
Tribute Bench
Recognize your tribute on an engraved plaque with a personalized message of your choice. Benches are located throughout the gardens and woodlands, allowing you to choose the right spot.
$5,000 minimum
Auto Garden Trees
Pay tribute to someone special by dedicating a newly planted tree in the Auto Garden or Entry Garden. Trees are adorned with an engraved plaque with a personalized message of your choice. Locations available along paths and in garden areas leading to the Welcome Center.
$2,500 minimum
Tribute Cards
With a donation of $25 or more, a special card will be mailed to your honoree or their family to inform them of your thoughtful gift.

Tributes and Memorials
Honor and remember someone special who has impacted your life, or commemorate a special occasion. Tribute and memorial opportunities celebrate important people in your life, and support the advancement of the Garden’s mission, in an inspiring and nurturing environment.
Single or collective donations may be used for a tribute or memorial. Your contribution may be recognized “in memory of” or “in honor of” an individual, group or event of your choosing. Donors receive an acknowledgement from Pittsburgh Botanic Garden, along with a notification sent to honorees, if desired.
