Uncover the secrets of wildlife biofacts and celebrate the legacy of our natural world! Join Char Ross, Master Naturalist and environmental educator, as we discover the world of Pennsylvania wildlife through the fascinating evidence that animals leave behind.

First, gain valuable interpretive skills and learn to “read” bones using nature found biofacts. After testing your newfound knowledge with real mystery skulls, we’ll discuss basic bone cleaning and DIY preservation techniques that you can utilize at home with everyday supplies. Char will also bring an intriguing mini museum of taxidermy for you to explore with take-home instructions for cleaning and preserving any treasures that you may find on your next hike.

About the Instructor

Char Ross is a PA Master Naturalist and environmental educator. As a hobby taxidermist, Char finds approaching wildlife preservation with ethical sourcing and respect for animals a rewarding challenge. In her free time, she enjoys being in the woods and spending time with her 3 dogs.


Program suitable for children ages 8 years and older. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
